I've spent a good part of the morning researching watermarks, copyrighting and why they're effective.
The watermark that I currently use on my photos was a quick solution to "branding" my photos before blogging them or uploading to Flickr. One thing a photographer hates is having their work either used without their permission or altered in ANY way. I have no problem with people using my photos to display to others but only with a watermark being present. It's my work and time spent creating my photos and anyone who wants to display it should respect that.
There's nothing wrong with the watermark that I use now...other than I want to change the business name. I'd also prefer to have a watermark that stretches the length of the photo instead of just a tiny area.
So keep on the lookout for my new watermark!
